Easy Taco Soup Recipe With Black Beans

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet (1.25 oz) taco seasoning
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, sliced jalapenos, tortilla chips
